Designed for factory and performance street Barra engines, the Atomic Street Chain Tensioner is a direct-fit upgrade that improves strength, alignment and hydraulic damping over the factory design. The billet steel body and piston, EN steel ratchet and enlarged contact area help control chain motion while reducing wear and harshness.

⚠️ Critical installation warning
Do not advance the ratchet or force the piston or guide. Install the tensioner as supplied and remove only the retention (grenade) pin. Modifying the tensioner or removing any internal component will void the warranty.

Installation advice
• Apply thread locker to all mounting bolts.
• Prime the oil system by cranking before first start.
• Do not add tension to the guide manually.
• Rotate the engine by hand before sealing the timing cover and note the tensioner's resting position.
• A brief buzzing noise on first start can occur while air bleeds from the tensioner.
If the tensioner will not install with the piston fully retracted, confirm the engine's deck height and head-gasket specification before proceeding.
